I enjoy figuring out how things work, and how to make it better. I enjoy learning and applying what I learn to solve problems.
I am an electrical engineer by training, a software engineer by experience, and a carpenter at heart.
While growing up my parents built homes, and had some rental property. They allowed me to help. The carpenter experience has served me well. I dropped band for 2 years of high school wood shop experience and 1 year of metal shop.
I served 6 years in the U.S. Navy as nuclear power school instructor, and in the reactor control department of a nuclear powered submarine. I spent 26 years working at Tektronix in their TV products division, printer division, and in “Tek labs”.
The learning experience continues thanks to “YouTube”.
I am excited to finally be starting my custom woodworking business.
